According to MacRumors, the innovation in the updates is minimal as Apple mainly fixes previously identified bugs. Apple says in its iOS 17.3.1 and iPadOS 17.3.1 details that the update includes bug fixes, including one where “text may unexpectedly duplicate or overlap while input”, helping users type text more accurately.
A similar bug was fixed with the release of Apple macOS Sonoma 14.3.1 after platform users raised complaints about unexpected text input. This error occurs on websites when working with Mail and instant messages. The issue persisted for several months and affected some versions of macOS Sonoma.
Apple also fixed some bugs in watchOS 10.3.1, although the company didn’t say which ones. The company also added new watch faces for its smartwatches through this update. Users can force installation of the latest updates in the appropriate sections of the device settings. In some cases, users should ensure the battery is charged above 50%.
iOS 17.3.1 is said to be the latest major update to iOS 17.3 which arrived just a few weeks ago to introduce Stolen Device Protection, which includes additional security measures when performing sensitive operations on the device.
To update iOS 17.3.1 for compatible iPhones, users can access the Settings app, select General, and tap Software Update.
