In the past, individuals had the option to use GPT-4 Turbo LLM by subscribing to Microsoft’s Copilot Pro service for a monthly fee of $20. However, Mikhail Parakhin, the CEO of the Advertising and Translation division of Microsoft web services, has recently announced via a post on X (previously known as Twitter) that GPT-4 Turbo is now accessible to all Copilot users without any additional charges. This exciting news was first reported by Neowin.
In November of 2023, OpenAI, a partner of Microsoft’s generative AI, unveiled the latest version of its language model called GPT-4 Turbo. This new model provides users with access to a significantly larger 128L context window compared to the previous version. This means that users can now create text prompts that are up to 300 pages long, which is a substantial increase from the previous version. In December of the same year, Microsoft added ChatGPT-4 Turbo, a feature that utilizes GPT-4 Turbo, to its Copilot Pro subscribers. This new feature provides subscribers with a more advanced and efficient code-writing experience.
According to CEO Parakhin, Copilot Pro subscribers now have the option to switch to the older GPT-4 LLM model in Copilot. This switch button has been added to allow users who prefer the older model to continue using it.
Microsoft has recently enabled all Copilot Pro users to access Copilot GPT Builder. This new tool is designed to let users build personalized chatbots that can answer specific questions about targeted topics without requiring any programming expertise. Once created, Copilot Pro subscribers can easily share their custom chatbot with anyone, even those without a Copilot Pro account, on both mobile devices and PCs. This new feature is expected to significantly enhance users’ ability to create comprehensive and tailored chatbots for their respective purposes.
It has been reported that Samsung is planning to introduce new Copilot features shortly. According to recently leaked promotional materials, the upcoming features will include improved integration with both Copilot and Microsoft’s Phone Link app for smartphones, which will be a significant enhancement for Samsung’s Galaxy.
