Rumor has it that Apple plans to launch a new iPhone SE regularly to attract low budget users or those looking to buy cheaper Apple smartphones. However, according to specialist analyst Ming-Chi Kuo’s forecast, people will have to wait until next year to get their hands on the third-generation iPhone SE. The opinion was recently shared by JP Morgan analyst William Ian. According to the latest report, reviewed by AppleInsider, Apple will launch the iPhone SE 3 in early 2022.
He believes that this new model would have the same design as the iPhone SE 2020 and would obviously have an improved processor. He could thus benefit from an A14 or even an A15 chip. The analyst also predicts that the price of this smartphone will be low again, in order to remain affordable. The third-generation iPhone SE is said to be sold for around 725$.
As for the possibility of seeing a Plus version of the iPhone SE appear this year, William Yang does not comment on this. However, many other reports and rumors indicate that the Cupertino company could indeed unveil an iPhone SE 2020 Plus during the first half of 2021. We will have to wait a few more weeks to see if the rumor was true.
