Apple is supposed to unveil the 16-inch iPad model in the fourth quarter of 2023, but this could change or the product is dead during development.
According to AppleInsider , there has been much speculation regarding Apple ‘s development of an iPad model larger than today’s tallest 12.9-inch size. Although Apple has never confirmed the information, according to sources close to the company, a 16-inch iPad model is on the way.
A report from The Information says that Apple’s upcoming 16-inch iPad will likely still be under the iPad Pro branding . In 2021, Mark Gurman of Bloomberg said a larger iPad Pro will launch in the next few years. Meanwhile, another leak from analyst Ross Young in June of this year suggested a 14-inch iPad could launch in the future, but not a Pro model.
Reportedly, 14 inches and 16 inches are said to be the right sizes for Apple’s existing products. The Liquid Retina XDR display found on the 12.9-inch iPad Pro is now available in the MacBook Pro . 14-inch and 16-inch
Apple refreshed its iPad Pro line in October 2022 with an M2 processor and some other notable features. In addition, the company also introduced a redesigned 10.9-inch iPad model with a new horizontal FaceTime camera, although not an iPad Pro.
iPad Pro tends to be redesigned every 18 months, so the arrival of the full-sized iPad Pro in the fourth quarter of next year seems to be earlier than Apple’s schedule. Even so, the new screen size may be the reason for the company to decide to launch new products earlier than usual.
