COD Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 are being developed using a new engine

According to Neowin, Activision and Infinity Ward have just quietly announced the next Call of Duty projects, confirming that the sequels to the hit series Modern Warfare (2019) game Warzone free The timing of the announcement was quite unusual and there was not even a new trailer to accompany it. Call of Duty’s annual announcements usually take place in the summer, but perhaps the stakeholders are currently experimenting with something so the announcement has changed.

The two new games will be powered by a new engine, and according to Pat Kelly, head of the studio in partnership with Infinity Ward, the studio has been working on these new engines for years. There will be better cohesion between the two games thanks to this engine – something that has become an issue in the Warzone and crossovers with Call of Duty titles released every year.

The next Warzone will have a completely new setting, as well as a mysterious sandbox mode with no further development. Meanwhile, Modern Warfare will come with the standard campaign and multiplayer services. Infinity Ward is at the forefront of developing both new products .

The sequel to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is coming to PC, Xbox, and PlayStation platforms in the fall of 2022. The new Warzone experience doesn’t have an accompanying release window and will be free-to-play just like the original.

The latest entry in the shooter series is Call of Duty: Vanguard developed by Sledgehammer Games. Although packed with a lot of content, it feels like an expansion pack of Modern Warfare without new features any exciting We’ll have to wait and see what Infinity Ward will bring in their latest projects.
