The ‌Apple Pencil‌ Hover technology has also been refined to deliver greater precision.

iPad Air 6

The new version of iPad Air, dubbed M2, offers some exciting features. The device boasts a Liquid Retina LCD, which renders clear and vibrant visuals. The M2 model is available in multiple colors and has a 100% recycled aluminum casing, making it an eco-friendly choice.

The front camera of the iPad Air M2 is a 12MP lens with an ultra-wide angle and Auto Framing feature. Unlike its predecessor, the front camera is located on the longer side of the iPad, enabling users to make video calls with ease. The Wi-Fi connection of the device is faster, and the Cellular models support ultra-fast 5G networks, making it a suitable choice for users who are always on the go.

Apple has also enhanced the M2 chip’s AI experience by targeting its existing machine-learning capabilities, which makes the device more intelligent and efficient.

Horizontal front camera

The 2024 iPad Air comes equipped with a 12MP ultra-wide front camera that is positioned on the longer side of the device. It boasts an advanced “Auto Framing” feature that utilizes machine learning to ensure that the subject remains at the center of the field of view, automatically.

With the 12MP wide-angle rear camera, you can capture high-resolution photos and 4K videos. Moreover, this camera also enables you to create stunning slow-motion movies at 240 fps. The two microphones are engineered to work in harmony with the cameras, capturing audio from the microphone in use to minimize background noise.

The new iPad Air is also equipped with horizontal stereo speakers with spatial audio, resulting in an immersive sound experience. The iPad Air 13″ takes it a step further, with even better sound quality, boasting twice the bass.

The M2 chip on the iPad Air

The iPad Air’s performance has been significantly improved thanks to the M2 chip, which has an 8-core CPU and 10-core GPU. The M2 chip outperforms the M1 chip in terms of performance, making it a noticeable improvement, particularly for those upgrading from previous-generation iPad Air models. Compared to the iPad Air with A14 Bionic, the new iPad Air offers three times greater performance, making it a powerful device for demanding tasks.

Wi-Fi 6E and 5G connections

The latest version of iPad Air comes with Wi-Fi 6E compatibility, which provides download speeds twice as fast as the previous generation. For those who opt for cellular models, the new iPad Air supports ultra-fast 5G connectivity, activated using eSIM. With the latest iPad Air, inserting a physical SIM is no longer possible.

Apple has recently launched its new iPad Air featuring a range of exciting colors including blue, purple, galaxy, and space gray. If you’re looking to buy one, the 11-inch iPad Air is now available at a starting price of $599, while the 13-inch model starts at $799.
