How to send calls from unknown numbers to voicemail

With the new version of iOS, it is possible to automatically direct calls from unknown numbers to your voicemail.

Receiving calls from strangers isn’t always fun, whether from someone with the wrong phone number or from people close to you who make jokes about you. Luckily, with iOS 13, that’s no longer a distraction, thanks to a new option.

This automatically sends calls from unknown numbers to your voicemail. So you are neither disturbed by the call nor have to answer or hang up to get rid of it. You will be able to read the voicemail message – if the person left one – at the end of their call, just as if you had missed their call.

To do this, nothing simpler. Go to your iPhone settings, Phone tab and check the “Silent stranger calls” option.

Of course, your phone will always notify you of the call from one of your contacts, a number you recently called, as well as a number linked to a suggestion that Siri has access to.

Indeed, if a message or an email contains a phone number, it will be able to contact you despite the fact that it is an “unknown” number. A very useful exception if it is a business number or something else.

Remember to deactivate the option if you are expecting an important call from an unknown number,
