Based on the first version of iOS 14 and verified by a reliable source during Apple’s development, The Verifier said the upcoming operating system would run on original iPhone 6s and iPhone SE devices.
A complete list of devices compatible with iOS 14 including iPhone 6s and 6s Plus, iPhone SE (2016), iPhone 7 and 7 Plus, iPhone 8 and 8 Plus, iPhone X, iPhone XR, iPhone Xs, and Xs Max, iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro and Pro Max and the iPhone SE(2020), iPod touch 7th generation, were launched last year. Verifier claims that iOS 14 will be the latest update for the original iPhone 6s and iPhone SE series, each introduced in 2015 and 2016.
Known in January 2020, the rumors also indicate the compatibility of iOS 14, including iPhone 6s and iPhone SE – both equipped with Apple A9 chip.
It should be noted that The Verifier has a mixed track record when it comes to rumors about Apple. The publication correctly reported the compatibility of iOS 13 last year but was inaccurate about the plan to introduce additional features and hardware to iOS devices.
Apple is expected to reveal iOS 14 at the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) that will be live streaming later this month, specifically June 22.
