A new report from TrendForce says Apple plans to only increase the price of the iPhone 15 Pro Max but not the iPhone 15 Pro, and both will continue to start with 128GB of storage.
According to AppleInsider, many people predicted that Apple would increase the price of the iPhone 15 series. Predictions began to change in recent weeks when there was information that the iPhone 15 and 15 Plus would not have a price increase. Not stopping yet, the latest report from TrendForce indicates that the iPhone 15 Pro itself will also escape this price increase
Research from TrendForce states: “Overall, TrendForce predicts stable prices for the iPhone 15, 15 Plus, and 15 Pro. However, the iPhone 15 Pro Max is a different story.”
TrendForce continued: “Equipped with a proprietary high-cost periscope lens, it is expected to cost more, possibly up to $100, to reflect the increased production costs of the product.”
Also according to TrendForce, due to the global economic downturn, Apple is contemplating a conservative pricing strategy to maintain its sales. In the case of the iPhone 15 Pro, TrendForce believes that the upgrade will add to manufacturing costs, but the company can save money by reducing costs in other unspecified components.
Apple will announce the iPhone 15 series and all their prices in the US at the Wonderlust event taking place at 0:00 on September 13
