Keysight Technologies and ETAS have joined forces to develop a comprehensive automotive cybersecurity solution for vehicle manufacturers and automotive component suppliers. The collaboration aims to protect vehicles from cybersecurity threats while on the road.
ETAS’ ESCRYPT CycurFUZZ intelligent random testing tool will be integrated into Keysight’s automotive cybersecurity solution as part of this collaboration. This integration will allow automakers to conduct rapid random testing of control area network (CAN) interfaces. The CycurFUZZ tool will provide intelligent software for performing random testing of CAN networks at the module or system level, enabling manufacturers to automatically scan devices in the CAN network for security vulnerabilities and software weaknesses.
Keysight’s automotive cybersecurity solution offers automated testing of all open system interoperability (OSI) stack layers for vehicle interfaces, including Wi-Fi, cellular, Bluetooth, CAN, and Ethernet. This allows for comprehensive testing of electronic control units (ECUs), telemetry control units (TCUs), and entire vehicles. In addition, the solution helps automotive component manufacturers and suppliers comply with international cybersecurity regulations such as UN R-155 and ISO/SAE 21434.
Thomas Goetzl, Vice President and General Director of Energy and Automotive Solutions at Keysight emphasized the importance of future-ready testing capabilities in mitigating the risk of automotive cyberattacks. He stated that the incorporation of rapid random testing into Keysight’s automotive cybersecurity solution through the partnership with ETAS will help end users meet industry standards and enhance their threat knowledge base.
