Meta’s Threads app received a major update bringing many of the features users wanted, increasingly threatening Twitter.
Recently, Meta announced its Threads latest app that aims to replace Twitter as the leading short blogging platform. This application has many similarities with the platform that billionaire Elon Musk bought. Recently, Meta released the first major update to Threads, providing many of the features users have been waiting for.
Information shared by software engineer Cameron Roth of Instagram on Threads. The latest Threads update (version 292.0) offers a new Follow tab (Follow) on the feed, allowing users to see who is following them.
This makes it easy for users to reach followers and make decisions about whether to choose to follow back or not. The update also includes improvements to feed load times and subscriptions. The new version also recognizes the closer link between Threads and Meta’s highly successful Instagram platform
One of the main aspects that the Themes app is still lacking is the desktop version of the platform. Perhaps in the near future, similar to Instagram, Meta will soon release an app for Windows and macOS or launch a Threads website on a desktop.
Meta has taken the world by storm with the launch of Threads, a text-based social network where users can create posts of up to 500 characters, uploading a series of images or videos to the platform. In addition, users can also transfer existing followers and accounts from Instagram.
Threads have attracted many celebrities to create accounts, especially those with tens of millions of followers on Twitter
