Microsoft released a patch that caused Defender to give false alarms

Microsoft Defender was recently reported to be mistaken in identifying malicious files that confuse users.

The threat in the message from Microsoft Defender warning “Behavior: Win32/Hive.ZY” is listed as severe. However, after taking corrective action, the above message still pops up every 20 seconds.

In the design of the program, threats are recorded from suspicious behavior, from which the software will perform blocking of malicious files. However, according to the Microsoft Support forum, this finding was a false alarm, which the Microsoft Defender database incorrectly reported.

An expert said on the forum that this error comes from all Chromium and Electron-based applications like WhatsApp, Discord, Spotify… Intelligence version 1.373.1518.0 for Microsoft Defender Antivirus with codename KB2267602.
