The classic version of Angry Birds is being removed from Google Play but renamed on the App Store.

According to The Verge, players should quickly download the classic version of the Angry Birds game from Google Play because it is being gradually removed from the app store.

Developer Rovio announced on Tuesday, February 21 that the game Rovio Classics: Angry Birds will be removed from the Google app store starting February 23. The reason for this action is that the company needs to focus more on other games in their category. Oddly, however, the App Store version will still be available, and Rovio’s plan is to rename the game Red’s, First Flight.

Rovio’s plan to cancel the classic Angry Birds may be meant to push people toward other free-to-play games in the series, but these games will have fee-based transactions. Because with Rovio Classics: Angry Birds, players only need to spend 1 USD to own the game and this meager amount does not bring the expected revenue for the developer.

In addition, changing the name to Red’s First Flight also makes the game harder to find on the App Store.
