Windows 10 2004 is available for all devices via Windows Update

After many compatibility blocks and user update restrictions, Windows 10 2004 can now be updated by updating Windows for all users. Earlier this month, several users complained that Microsoft did not allow them to upgrade their Windows 10 operating system to the 2004 version, even though they were using Windows 10 versions 1903 and 1909.

In response, Microsoft is continuing to expand the availability of Windows 10 version 2004 by allowing all Windows 10 computers running versions 1903 and 1909 to receive new version updates. All you need to do is manually check for updates via Windows Update.

The company claims to increase the number of Windows 10 devices that automatically update to the 2004 version, especially those that will soon run out of support in line with the company-based machine learning initiative. Microsoft is currently training its machine learning in all phases to intelligently develop new versions of Windows 10 and offer users the smoothest updates.

How to perform an update to Windows 10 2004

  • Press the Windows + I key combination to open the system settings window.
  • Next, go to Update & Security> Windows Update, then select Check for updates.
  • When the update displays, simply select Download and install it. The download and installation process will take about 2 hours to complete.
