Huawei, a Chinese multinational technology company, has recently announced that it will be discontinuing its P-series and launching a new product line for its next smartphone series. The announcement was made via Huawei’s official Weibo account, revealing that the new product line would be known as the Pura-series, featuring a “new attitude”. According to a leak expert, Digital Chat Station, the Pura 70 series may consist of four different devices, namely Pura 70, Pura 70 Pro, Pura 70 Pro Plus, and Pura 70 Ultra.
As per sources, retail stores in China have already received various RAM and memory variants of this product line. The standard version of the Pura 70 series has 12 GB RAM and 512 GB internal memory, while the Pro version offers an additional 1 TB internal memory variant. The Pro Plus version comes with an upgraded 16 GB RAM configuration as compared to the Pro version, and the Ultra variant has a unique 1 TB internal memory. However, this is not an exhaustive list, and the product line may exist in several other RAM and internal storage variants.
The Huawei Pura 70 Ultra may feature a ceramic case design, making the device feel heavy in the hand. Unfortunately, there is no information yet on whether all devices in the Pura 70 series will be released by Huawei to the market outside of China. The company has already launched the P60 Pro in some regions of the European Union (EU), so some members of the Pura 70 series will likely be launched in the same markets.
However, the biggest challenge for Huawei’s new Pura 70 product line is the lack of official Google services. Although Huawei has its own set of applications aimed at filling this gap, it is still challenging for the company to attract Western consumers.
