Apple is said to be developing a new iPad Pro with a large OLED panel and M3 chip to launch next year, but it seems the company wants to bring even more impressive things.

According to Neowin, the report comes from the reliable leak source Revengus on X, saying that the iPad Pro OLED rumored could be equipped with up to 4 TB of internal memory. If this is accurate, this will be a significant upgrade over the current model, which only maxes out at 2 TB.

The 4 TB internal storage variant of the iPad Pro is not suitable for most users, but it can be a good choice for those who need to perform demanding tasks like video editing. To upgrade the internal memory on the iPad Pro 2022 from 128 GB to 2 TB, the amount users have to spend is 1,100 USD, so this number will be even higher when upgrading to 4 TB.

Apart from internal storage, the upcoming iPad Pro may also bring other hardware upgrades. Bloomberg analyst Mark Gurman has said that the new tablets will be the first major update since the iPad Pros were launched in 2018. It will be the first iPad to use an OLED display. Additionally, they will be released with 11-inch and 13-inch screen options.

Upcoming iPad Pro models may be equipped with an M3 chip and come with a Magic Keyboard option with a larger trackpad than the current version. Mr. Gurman said this will make the new iPad Pro more laptop-like and suitable for tasks such as video editing and graphic design.

Talking about the M3 chip, it is expected to be manufactured based on TSMC’s 3nm process, making it more powerful and efficient than the current M2 chip. The chip can also deliver up to 20% faster CPU performance and up to 30% faster GPU performance.
