If you’re waiting for the MacBook to launch with Apple’s new M3 chip, you’ll have to wait until next year for this product to be released.

The above information shows that there may not be any new MacBook laptops appearing this year, according to Techradar

DigiTimes just had a report predicting the shipment of laptops in the next 5 years. Accordingly, Apple will witness a significant decrease in shipments in 2023 because the company plans to switch to using CPUs manufactured using TSMC’s 3nm process to upgrade performance in 2024. Thus, MacBook sales will decline this year as Apple doesn’t plan to launch any new laptops until 2024.

Currently, Apple is in the process of developing a new chip manufactured on the 3nm process of manufacturer TSMC. This process is expected to improve performance compared to the M2 chip on the 5nm process in the current MacBook line.

While the M2 is still an excellent chip, it’s not as big a leap over the M1 as expected. If the M3 chip lives up to expectations, it could bring new levels of performance to Apple’s portable Macs.

Bloomberg journalist Mark Gurman previously said Apple will launch new Macs with the M3 chip in October this year, with a 13-inch MacBook Pro, 13-inch MacBook Air, and 24-inch iMac. MacRumors also believes that new Macs are coming soon. However, analyst Ming-Chi Kuo disputed this information, saying there will be no new MacBooks released before 2024
