Samsung is reportedly planning to introduce a new feature called “Battery AI” in its upcoming Galaxy S25 series. This feature is expected to help extend the phone’s battery life by 5-10%. According to PhoneArena, the Battery AI feature is likely to address the battery life issues faced by Samsung’s next-generation Galaxy S series. This is especially important since there have been reports that the battery capacity of the Galaxy S25 Ultra will remain the same as its predecessor.
While some existing software can help extend battery life by throttling the CPU/GPU or reducing the capabilities of the 5G modem, these methods typically come at the cost of reduced performance. The details of how Battery AI works have not been disclosed by the user who shared this information, PandaFlash, but it is expected that the feature will turn off unnecessary background services that consume system resources.
Although PandaFlash did not confirm whether Battery AI will be launched with the Galaxy S25 series, most of their posts on X mention Samsung’s flagship line in 2025. Therefore, it would not be surprising if this feature is introduced early next year with the Galaxy S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra.
With Samsung already implementing Galaxy AI with the Galaxy S24 series this year, the addition of Battery AI to the Galaxy S25 series is a logical step forward. This technology is expected to work with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 and Exynos 2500 application processors that are expected to be used on the next Galaxy S models.
