Activision, the publisher of Call of Duty, has announced that it has locked over 27,000 accounts of cheaters in the latest scan. The move comes after the launch of the third season of Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone, along with the free trial that ran from April 4 to April 8.

Activision has attributed the successful detection and blocking of accounts to the adoption of improved fraud detection systems and the implementation of new security updates. The company has also stated that it will continue to enforce similar account lockouts in the future.

The latest season brings new content, including six core 6v6 multiplayer maps, Resurgence mode on Rebirth Island, new Zombies missions, and a new Warlord – Rainmaker. Additionally, data miners have discovered an upcoming multiplayer map called Get High, which promises to be a unique map with parkour gameplay in a vaporwave environment.
