Motorola is ramping up the promotion of its upcoming smartphone, the Moto X50 Ultra, with a focus on its artificial intelligence (AI) power.

According to Android Central, inspired by Formula 1, the teaser video posted on Weibo recently from Motorola provides several images of the phone, highlighting the leather back and a camera discreetly placed in the top corner.

Another post posted by Motorola on X links the Moto X50 Ultra to the F1 China Grand Prix taking place on April 21. This suggests that Motorola appears to be planning to reveal the Moto X50 Ultra around that time. When launched, the product may be limited to the Chinese market before being rolled out to the global market with a different name, possibly in the Edge line as is the company’s usual practice. For example, in 2023, after first launching the Moto If so, it won’t be surprising if the Moto X50 Ultra will be named Motorola Edge 50 Ultra when it launches globally.

Recent rumors say the Moto X50 Ultra will be equipped with a 4,500 mAh battery, supporting 125W fast wired charging and 50W super-fast wireless charging. However, the highlight of the product lies in AI features – something that Samsung focuses heavily on when promoting newly launched Galaxy smartphone models. Although Motorola hasn’t revealed details about what makes the Moto X50 Ultra an AI phone, it wouldn’t be surprising if it were features like text summarization, live translation, or photo editing tools based on WHO.

The product’s specifications are still being kept under wraps, but it’s safe to assume that this device will outperform the Motorola Edge Plus 2023 in some aspects. Interestingly, until now, there has never been an Ultra version in the X-series making this the first X model to have that moniker. AI looks set to dominate smartphone launches this year, far surpassing the innovations seen last year.
