Besides the standard iPhone 15 with two screen sizes, Apple has just announced the iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max duo, the most powerful devices the company has ever created.

Accordingly, the iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max have a titanium shell and an Action button. Both versions use 6.1 and 6.7-inch screens, equipped with A17 Pro, a chip that Apple says can challenge some high-end PCs.

Both of Apple’s most advanced iPhone models this year use USB-C, and the Pro version is the first phone with a 10 Gbps transfer speed, making it easier to download photos and videos from the device. The new devices come in white, black, blue, and what Apple calls natural.

New is a new Action button that replaces the switch on the left side of the iPhone Pro. Users can customize this button to run shortcuts, display accessibility features, open the camera, turn on the flashlight… By default, the Action button is still the bell switch, but users will want to use it to do many things.

Both the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max series use Super Retina XDR displays with ProMotion and support always-on display and the new StandBy mode in iOS 17.

The cameras on iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max also have a significant upgrade. The first is a 48-megapixel camera with better low-light photography, and less glare, and uses Apple’s AI system to take HEIF photos.

Users can also change the default lens and shoot at multiple focal lengths, from 24 mm, 28 mm, and 35 mm with the main camera. The device also supports optical zoom up to 5x, this is the highest optical zoom level that Apple has ever provided, with a focal length equivalent to 120 mm.

The new iPhone duo also possesses the ability to record 4K60 ProRes 4K videos, supporting recording and storing directly to external drives via USB-C port. The Pro series can also record spatial video.

The iPhone 15 Pro version with 128 GB of internal memory will cost 999 USD, while the Pro Max version with the lowest capacity of 256 GB will cost 1,199 USD. Both will be available for pre-order this Friday and will go on sale on September 22.
