Apple just announced that pre-orders for the new iPad Air tablet model are now open, allowing people to order them now.

According to Neowin, Apple now says the iPad Air 2020 model has already begun for users to order. This delay stems from the fact that Apple wants to use the A14 Bionic chip found in the iPhone 12 line in the new iPad Air model.

Concerning the new iPad Air, it’s a product with a similar design to the iPad Pro line, when it comes to removing the Home button to switch to a smaller bezel. However, the device does not support Face ID, but instead uses a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. It also comes in fancy new colors, such as green or blue.

The new iPad Air comes with a 10.9-inch Liquid Retina display with 2,360 x 1,640-pixel resolution but is still lower than the iPad Pro. IPad Pro features are also included in the new iPad Air including USB-C and the latest Apple Pencil support.

You can pre-order the iPad Air now for $ 599 for the standard model with 64GB of internal storage and $ 729 if you want to add LTE. In case you want to upgrade from 64 GB to 256 GB, users have to spend an additional $ 150.
