Asus co-CEO Xu Xianyue will launch the first Vivobook S15, which will be equipped with a Snapdragon X Elite chip.

The Snapdragon X series chips from Qualcomm are known for their Oryon CPU cores based on the Arm architecture, which offers high performance, AI acceleration, and long battery life. The new chip is expected to have a significant impact on the PC market in the coming days.

At present, the details about the new Vivobook S15 are limited to the product being equipped with the Snapdragon X Elite or Snapdragon X Plus chip, 12 or 10 Oryon cores, high-end Adreno GPU, and 45 TOPS NPU.

In a press release, Asus stated that the new laptops would usher in a new generation of Asus PC AI that can break traditional boundaries and take advantage of advanced AI features. These laptops will fully support all of the latest AI features from Asus and Microsoft, providing an AI experience tailored to individual needs.

Asus is also planning to showcase a series of new PC products and peripherals at the Computex 2021 event, scheduled to take place in early June. Microsoft’s annual Build Developer Conference, which will be held from May 22 to May 24, might also be a significant event, where Microsoft is expected to announce the latest advances in Windows and Copilot to compete with PC manufacturers’ new PC AI machines.
