Cyberpunk 2077’s entire game mechanics will be overhauled in next week’s 2.0 update.
According to Gadget Match, Cyberpunk 2077 is one of the most stirring launches in recent gaming history. Determined to regain its reputation, CD Projekt Red is working to up its game and eliminate the company’s mistakes.
Accordingly, the developer is currently preparing to release the game’s first and only expansion pack (DLC) called Phantom Liberty. But before the new content is released, Cyberpunk 2077 will receive a free update that will completely overhaul the game’s mechanics
Later in 2022, CD Projekt Red announced the Phantom Liberty extension. In addition to deciding to make Idris Elba the central character, the developer also made a big change by adding different mechanics to change the way Cyberpunk 2077 plays.
One of the biggest changes is the improved police system in the game. Chases by police will now become simpler when players commit crimes. The Heat system will let players know the possibility of police response, and can also choose to conduct chases to escape capture.
Besides the new system, there are also new means and uses. There are also a ton of UI, item, and radio improvements. CD Projekt Red will not link the above content to Phantom Liberty. Owners of the base game will receive the update for free on September 21, even without the DLC.
Meanwhile, Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty will be released on September 26. The DLC will bring a new story and new characters. As mentioned above, Idris Elba will be the most prominent character of the DLC.
