It’s been nearly a month since iOS 16 has been available in beta for developers. Rich in new features, it is however still slightly unstable and can cause some bugs on your iPhone. Slowdown reduced autonomy or even unstable applications, the problems can be numerous. Moreover, iOS 16 is no exception to the rule and is even more unstable than other versions.

So, you might want to go back to the previous version of iOS installed on your iPhone, but don’t know how to do it. We will explain in this article the procedure to follow. To do this, equip yourself with your iPhone/iPad and your PC/Mac.

On your Mac, first, make sure you have installed the latest version of macOS. Next, connect your device to your computer using the Lightning or USB-C cable. Next, put your device into recovery mode.

Restoring or Deleting the profile

With iPhones and iPads with Face ID, quickly press the volume + button, then the volume -, then hold the side button. For iPhones and iPads with the Home button, hold down the Side and Volume – buttons and hold even after you see the Apple appear.

On your computer, open iTunes or the Finder on your Mac. Tap Restore/Update when the option appears and select Restore. Normally, the data on your device will be erased. But thanks to iCloud and synchronization, your data and applications installed on your iPhone/iPad can easily be recovered.

Another trick is to delete the profile from iOS 16. Head into the settings, then the General and VPN and device management. Then select the iOS 16 Beta Profile and delete it. When an update for iOS 15 is released, you will be able to install it.
