A leaked listing on Apple’s Sales Web site, which provides details on all of the company’s products, has revealed a key detail about the 5G connectivity of the iPhone 12 series.

According to GSMArena, when using the dual SIM mode, 5G data is not supported on both and will switch back to 4G LTE. If the user is only using an eSIM with a 5G-enabled service plan, they will have access to 5G. Basically, users are forced to disable 1 SIM if they want to access the network with 5G speed or the phone will switch back to 4G LTE network. Any eSIM user will have to remove the physical SIM card from the iPhone 12 to access 5G speeds.

This discovery was shared on Reddit by member ctthrow1, whose account is said to hold “Frequently Asked Questions” documents for retailers and carriers. Also according to the report, users can access 5G network on iPhone 12 using nanoSIM or eSIM, as long as they only use a single SIM at a time.

Speculations say Apple will address the issue through a software update before the end of the year, although the aforementioned information still needs more time to know if this applies. .
