WhatsApp for iOS adds a multitasking feature

Version 23.3.77 of the WhatsApp iOS app has just been released to allow users on video calls to access other apps without having to pause or disconnect.

According to PhoneArena, with this update, when a user is engaged in a video call and wants to multitask by opening another app, quitting WhatsApp will minimize the video chat and allow it to emerge above other applications. The user can move it around the screen with his finger while the video chat continues, and the other app the user wants to open is below it . WhatsApp says not every iOS user will receive the new feature as the company gradually rolls out it over the next few weeks.

Version 23.3.77 of WhatsApp also includes some other new features like adding annotations when sending documents to contacts in individual or group chats. Users can also use longer group topic names and descriptions when describing a WhatsApp group. Once updated, these names and descriptions can be up to 2,048 characters long – a huge increase from the previously allowed 512 characters.

WhatsApp users can now also create personalized avatars as Facebook and Instagram before. avatar To create your own, just open the WhatsApp app and go to Settings > Avatar > Create Your Avatar. Then follow the instructions before tapping Done. Next, to set the new profile picture as the profile picture on WhatsApp, users should open the application and tap on their profile picture before clicking Edit.
