Along with the Pixel Fold, Google also unveiled the Pixel Tablet at I/O 2023 after months of leaks. This shows that the company is ready to give large screen devices a new step when it comes to the overall Android experience.

According to BGR , Pixel Tablet has been introduced by Google since I/O 2022 , which means the company needs a year to officially release the product to the market. It is a tablet model with a large 10.95-inch LCD screen with uniform bezels as large as the iPad, and based on the placement of the front camera, it shows that the main goal of the product design is in landscape mode. The selfie camera placed on the side has a resolution of 8 MP

In terms of specifications, the Pixel Tablet gives users the Pixel 7 Pro experience but on a larger screen. The same Tensor G2 chip on the Pixel 7 series is also available on the Pixel Tablet. Google equips the machine with high-speed 8 GB LPDDR5 RAM, combining 128 GB or 256 GB storage options, with the UFS 3.1 format instead of the newer and faster UFS 4.0.

The LCD screen has a resolution of 2,560 x 1,600 pixels that offers up to 500 nit brightness and Stylus pen support. Like the front camera, the 8MP camera on the back can record 1,080p videos at 30fps.

Other specs on the Pixel Tablet include 4 speakers, a 4-pin accessory connector, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, and UWB connectivity. The machine integrates a USB-C port at the bottom that supports 27Wh battery charging which is good enough for 12 hours of video playback. Speaker base with built-in 15W charger will keep the product charged.

The Pixel Tablet also has Chromecast built-in, so users can share all kinds of media files with it. In addition, Pixel Tablet also supports smart home features in docking mode. Google also emphasized that Android 14 could take advantage of the larger screen when it first announced the public beta, but this update only comes after the Pixel Tablet hits stores

With all the equipment, Pixel Tablet is considered the product that the Android tablet family needs. It’s a device that offers a better tablet experience that can compete with Android. Even so, the Tensor G2 can’t match the M1 or M2 on Apple’s best tablet, so the Pixel Tablet isn’t even a replacement for the iPad Air 5. More importantly, the price when it hits shelves on June 20. .2023 is 499 USD – a number that cannot make many people happy for a product with a non-superior hardware configuration.
